Program Details
- Who is eligible for the DAT fee waiver?
Students completing the DAT in 2024 are eligible to apply. Students may only receive this DAT waiver through OSU one time.
*Anyone planning for the DAT in 2025, is encourage to fill out the interest form for future funding opportunities.
- How are student chosen to receive the funding?
Priority will be given to students who qualified for 50% funding from ADA. Any funds remaining will be disbursed regardless of need based on order the interest form was received.
- What documentation is required?
Proof of DAT purchase and proof of exam completion are required. If you claimed qualification for the ADA fee waiver, we will also need proof of qualification of.
Proof of exam completion can be your unofficial score or official scores. *Exam score does not impact eligibility, it is required strictly for proof of completion of the exam.
- How will the funding be disbursed?
If approved for supplemental funding, it will be provided in the form of a reimbursement check from the OSU Foundation after you have submitted all required documentation.
Reimbursement from the OSU Foundation can take up to 6-weeks after we receive the required documentation.

- What does the timeline look like?
The application for DAT fee waiver through OSU opens August 29th, 2024 and will remain open until funds have been exhausted. However, our committee will begin the review and selection process on September 15th, 2024 and continue until funds have been exhausted. Funds will be disbursed on a first-come-first served basis, with priority going to students who qualified for the partial fee waiver through the ADA.
If you've been approved for a fee waiver through OSU, the timeline depends on you and the date of your DAT exam. If you've already completed the DAT and received your test scores, we will process your reimbursement as soon as we've received the required documents from you. It will then take up to 6-weeks to receive your reimbursement check from the OSU Foundation.
If you haven't taken your DAT yet, but plan to in 2024, the timeline depends on the date of your exam and on you. Once you've completed you exam and sent us all the required documents, it will then take up to an additional 6-weeks to receive your reimbursement check from the OSU Foundation.
