Wrapping Up! Junior Year

On track with all program requirements? Begin finalizing your last steps of provisional acceptance into OSU-COM 3+1 Med Bound Program before medical school entry.

Be Proactive...

Anticipate providing documents and items:

  • 500 hours completed in health-related setting(s) participation.
  • Study for MCAT in late fall/early spring junior year.
  • MCAT results (take MCAT by late May - results due by July 1st).
  • OSU-COM 3+1 Med Bound verification form reviewed/signed by your OSU academic advisor. Proactively schedule your appointment in May after your spring final grades post.
  • Final, official undergraduate transcripts (with your final spring grades).
  • Any other outstanding final acceptance paperwork with OSU-COM.

Don't wait till the last minute. Plan early in your junior year. Reach out to your support system, including:

  • OSU's College of Osteopathic Medicine or OSU Pre-Professional Health & Law Support Services to confirm/clarify any outstanding requirements.
  • OSU academic advisor to confirm you are still on track to meet all academic requirements and continued eligibility for your pre-approved OSU-COM 3+1 Med Bound program major.
  • Schedule an appointment with your OSU major advisor at the very end of your spring semester junior year after your final grades post so your advisor can submit the required verification form to the OSU-COM Admissions Committee. This form confirms you will meet the academic requirements from OSU and OSU-COM to earn your bachelor's degree after your first year at OSU-COM.
