2 Routes: Become an RDNEveryone's pathway to become an Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is different. Common routes for OSU students include:

  • OSU's Bachelors + Dietetic Internship + OSU Masters Degree

    OSU's bachelor's of science degree in nutritional sciences: dietetics program then complete a Dietetic Internship and begin a M.S. in Nutrition or a Masters in Public Health program at OSU.

     

    Steps:

    • Earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences: Dietetics from OSU-Stillwater.
    • Complete a dietetic internship program. 
    • Apply for a M.S. in Nutritional Sciences or Masters in Public Health degree program. 
    • Sit for the Commission of Dietetic Registration exam. Once you pass the exam, you'll be a certified RDN. 
  • TCC to OSU (2+2 track) + Dietetic Internship + OSU Masters Degree

    2 years at Tulsa Community College to earn an A.S. in Nutritional Sciences + 2 years at OSU-Stillwater in the Bachelor of Science: Nutritional Sciences - Dietetics Program.

     

    Followed by a dietetic internship + M.S. in Nutrition or Masters Public Health degree program.

     

    Steps:

     

    Timeline Overview:

    • Freshman year/1st year - Meet with your TCC academic advisor for eligibility.
    • Sophomore year/2nd year - Meet with your TCC academic advisor for eligibility & complete admissions application to OSU.
    • Junior year/3rd year - Transfer to OSU-Stillwater to complete the B.S. in Nutritional Sciences - Dietetics.
    • Senior year/4th year - Complete bachelor's degree and prepare tp apply for didactic internship/masters program at OSU.
