Application Timelines
Application cycles vary but often open in April. Programs may start in January, May,
June, August, or September, thus application deadlines are program specific.
Review each PA schools's official admissions website for full details and instructions
about their application process. As you prepare, it is helpful note the following
items for each school:
- priority and final deadlines
- how to apply (CASPA or other method)
- who should write letters of recommendation
- personal statement requirements
- additional components / essays
CASPA
Centralized Application Service for Physician Assistants
Many, but not all physician assistant programs participate in CASPA.
If an PA program is not a member of CASPA, they will have their own individual application process and procedures.
