You've Been Accepted! Now What?
Provisional Acceptance
Students successfully admitted into the Early Admission Program receive "Provisional Acceptance" to OSU's DVM program upon completion of their bachelor's.
- Understanding Provisional Acceptance
- As long as you maintain your eligibility and successfully complete all Early Admission Program requirements in the time specified, you have a guaranteed seat for veterinary school at OSU's College of Veterinary Medicine.
- To maintain your "Provisional Acceptance" status and fully matriculate at the end of your 8th semester, please carefully follow all continued eligibility requirements.
Ongoing Requirements
To remain in OSU's DVM Early Acceptance Program, you must successfully meet ongoing academic and non-academic requirements.
- Academic Requirements
- Be a full-time undergraduate student at OSU-Stillwater.
- Maintain a GPA of 3.5 each semester.
- Complete a bachelor’s degree of your choice within 8 consecutive semesters (or less).
- Complete all required pre-veterinary prerequisite courses.
- Non-Academic Requirements
- Complete one veterinary related activity (minimally) each semester during your undergraduate education.
- Complete a summer internship at a veterinary clinic (of your choice).
- Receive a positive evaluation letter from the supervising veterinarian after your completed internship.
- Be in good conduct standing with the University.
- Complete all additional program requirements in coordination with OSU's College of Veterinary Medicine.
