Explore Past Health, Vet, & Law Week Events

  • Campus Visit to OCU School of Law in OKC
    • Come tour OCU Law with us! Talk with current law students and participate in a mock law school class.  
    • FREE Transportation leaves OSU Student Union, 040 Basement, at 9:30am, arrival at OCU Law at 11:00am.  Return to Stillwater ETA 3:00pm.
    • You must RSVP to reserve your spot. Students may opt. to ride in an OSU vehicle or may drive themselves and meet us at the law school at 11:00 am. 
  • OSU Sports Medicine Club Meeting: Facility Tour & Hands-On Activity
    • Join the OSU Sports Medicine Club on a tour of OSU baseball's athletic training room and complete a hands on activity while you are there. 
  • Animal Chiropractic Demo
    • Join the OSU Horseman's Association & Chiropractor Dr. Joren Whitley, who will be speaking about the profession and showing some demos on horses and dogs. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Dr. Whitley has adjusted animals ranging from wild lions to bats, snakes, and giraffes. 
     
  • Veterinary Admissions Fair
    • Explore the Future of Veterinary Medicine in a free virtual fair. 
    • Meet with veterinary schools from around the world to learn about rewarding careers in veterinary medicine. 
    • Hosted by the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges.
  • Talk Saves Lives
    • University Counseling Services is hosting this presentation for OSU students and staff that is created by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
    • We will cover the general scope of suicide, the research on prevention and what people can do to fight suicide. Participants will learn common risk factors and warning signs associated with suicide, and how to keep themselves and others safe.
  • LET'S TALK! Healthcare Volunteering
    • Connect with our Director of Volunteer Services, Rebecca Brungardt, on how to strengthen your community, and your application, through healthcare volunteerism.
  • Mock LSAT's
    • Considering law school and wondering what is on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT)? 
    • Already studying for the LSAT and wanting to practice in a test environment? 
    • Grab a laptop and join us on March 29th for one of our 3 mock sessions.
    • All sessions are stand-alone exams. You may come to just one, or combine a testing section (AM/PM) and the LSAT Writing at noon.
    • Seating is limited, so reserve your space today.
  • Furry Friend Friday
    • An hour of pet therapy with Pete's Pet Posse "P3" to encourage mental health and wellness. Mental health handouts will be provided as well as a small prize.
  • Mental Health Series: Behavior Change
    • Reboot Center (Student Union 320W)
    • This Mental Health Series will consist of four stand-alone sessions on common mental health topics and skills. The skills will be explained with examples, and then you will have a chance to practice them. Each week, there will be two options for the same session.
    • Our brains have developed neural pathways that help us automatically respond to situations over time. While this is meant to be helpful to us, sometimes we have been ingrained with responses that are not helpful. In this session, we will learn how our brain gets trained to respond to anxiety and depression. Then, we will go over useful tools to retrain our brains into new responses while weakening the old, unhelpful responses.
  • Mock MCAT
    • Join HOSA & The Princeton Review for a freMCAT online practice test.
    • Open to all OSU students. 
  • Campus Visit to OU College of Law in Norman
    • Tour OU law, talk with current law students, and also have the rare opportunity to sit in on a 1st year (1L) contracts class.
    • You must RSVP to reserve your spot. Students may opt. to ride in an OSU vehicle or may drive themselves and meet us at the law school at 10:00 AM. 
    • FREE Transportation leaves OSU Student Union at 8:30am, arrival in Norman at 10:00am.  Return to Stillwater ETA 3:00pm.
  • Career Chat: Preparing for Your First Job or Internship

    • Come tour Tulsa Law with us! Talk with current law students and sit in on a law school class.  
    • FREE Transportation leaves OSU Student Union at 10:30am, arrival at Tulsa Law at noon.  Return to Stillwater ETA 5:00pm.

  • Mental Health Series: Emotional Awareness
    • Reboot Center: 320W Student Union
    • This Mental Health Series will consist of four stand-alone sessions on common mental health topics and skills. The skills will be explained with examples, and then you will have a chance to practice them. Each week, there will be two options for the same session.
    • In this session, we will talk about what emotions are, the purposes they have, mindfulness skills to provide you with present moment awareness, and a plan for thinking through desired actions
  • Pre-Professional Night at the Ballpark!
    • Join us for an exciting night filled with OSU Baseball action, camaraderie, and loads of fun.
    • Gates open at 5pm, game at 6pm.
    • You must have a ticket or all-sports pass to get into the game. 

    Stop by the Pre-Professional office (040 Student Union Basement) prior to the game and pick-up a free concession voucher!

    • Each month, we choose ONE current political event to discuss and ask questions about while we enjoy some free coffee and pastries. Discussions are led by a political science professor who is a specialist in this area. 
  • Tour OSU's PA Program (Tulsa-CHS campus)
    • Join us for a walking tour of campus and the chance to meet OSU-CHS PA Faculty. 
    • You must sign up in advance so they know you are coming. Transportation not provided. 
  • Pride Picnic with SUAB
    • Student Union Activities Board invites you to join us on April 5 on Classroom Building Lawn from 5 to 7 p.m. for Pride Picnic! Whether you're a part of the LGBTQ+ community or an ally, everyone is welcome to enjoy free food, games and fun activities. There will be lawn games, a raffle with fun prizes, a photo booth to capture memories, a tie-dye station to get creative and inflatable basketball connect four for some friendly competition! 
  • CEO Day
    • CEO Day is hosted by OSU’s Spears School of Business, the Business Student Council and the MBA Association to bring successful business people to the Stillwater campus so students have the opportunity to discover the challenges and issues that business leaders face, understand how CEOs chart their career paths, discover characteristics they seek in managers, interact with successful executives, and learn about their decision processes and leadership styles.
